Fuel Management

So I just got myself a 1996 Z28 with 6000km on the new crate motor and I am looking to do a few upgrades. A the moment I have a moroso CAI and a flowmaster muffler (I think, i cant remember what he said it was. it has the long rectangular tips). I have heard that the LT1's run rich and was thinking about getting a fuel pressure regulator, mail tune and possibly a new set of injectors to help it the the most efficient. I would like to improve HP and MPG's (I know injectors probably wont help fuel economy haha). Any advice or recommendations would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Fuel Management

You can't change anything with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If you reduce pressure to cut fuel flow, the O2 sensor feedback will cause the PCM to add the fuel back in, via longer pulse widths.

The correct way to lean out the stock PE (power enrichment) mode excessively rich target A/F ratio is via changing the PE mode table in the program. Mail order tuners typically pick up 10-15HP by leaning it out.

New injectors won't help anything, unless you old ones are dirty and not providing the correct flow or spray pattern.
