Fuel pressure is 35 psi.
Ok i have been having problems with my car running crap and we tested the fuel pressure today and it came out at about 35 psi at idle. Is this the norm for our cars?? I was told around 40 psi was normal so i would suspect that this isnt the problem. Thanks, Dustin.

Re: Fuel pressure is 35 psi.
Then its probably "normal". Check it at idle, with the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator pulled off and plugged. Pressure should be between 41-47psi. Put the vacuum line back on, and pressure should drop proportional to intake manifold vacuum.... 6-10psi drop is "normal". Then check the pressure on the road, WOT/max RPM, and pressure should hold within 1 to 2psi of the value you got without the vacuum line.
Until you have checked all 3 conditions, you can't know the health of the fuel system.
