Fuel Pressure

My elbow tore, and I've been getting unmetered air into my intake (a 1LE elbow is on the way). However, it seems to me that it also has some kind of fuel problem. I checked the fuel pressure, and it read ~39 PSI at startup, and slowly started climbing into the lower 40s. With the car off, and the pump primed, it held around 40 PSI. I think it's supposed to be @ ~55 (@ idle), right? If so, can the leak at the TB really be the cause of being 15 PSI low? Or is my fuel pump crapping out?

Re: Fuel Pressure

Remove the vacume line from the regulator and it should be somewhere between 42PSI-47PSI at idle.

Re: Fuel Pressure

41-47 psi is normal range with vacuum line removed, per the GM manual.

Actually if it did you might not like it. My guess is that there would be a performance trade off...
