g05 coolant in 95 z28 lt1

Hello, i will be under taking the intake manifold leak tomorrow with some friends of mine and was told i should get rid of the dex cool and replace with g05. now i see that g05 is recommended for pretty much every other car manufacture besides gm. Am i going to screw things up switching up antifreeze? thanks.

Not sure about your question but using a couple studs will help you set your manifold down into the proper position and help insure no leaks. There seems to be two popular choices for the sealant that goes on the front- rear. The name is eluding me at the moment but its black and in a self dispensing can. The right stuff or the good stuff is the best I can get lol(its name is similar) . The copper rtv is the other (ive used both successful but the black is stickier and probably would be my first choice. I also like to use permatex high temp thread sealant on the bolt threads(sealing to prevent air leaks as well as aid it torque lubrication and easier disassembly
