Gas gauge

Does anyone else ever notice that the gas gauge tends to stay almost full and then right before the tanks empty it drops down. Right now I have 180 city driven miles on my tank and the gas gauge is above 3/4's of a tank, now by the time I get to 200 miles it will be down to a 1/4 tank. Its nerve recking. Just seeing if I'm the only one this happens to or if its a common thing in these cars.

I've owned like 8 Chevrolets over the years, and every single one of them has been like this. I don't know why. It's not just Camaros.

Try a search. This is talked about often. They all do it.

The gas tank is sort of shaped like a teardrop which makes the gauge a little wacky. With me 1/4 tank is E.

That's right, the gas tank in the F-Bodys are v-shaped. At 1/2 tank I have 4.5 gallons left, and E means your fugged.
