Gas guage needle is stuck..please help

Gas guage needle is stuck..please help

well yep, it is stuck at FULL and wont move....ou think the floater valve is broken? or the fuel pump sender unit..if so what is the part number for the sender unit...GM told me it was 400 bucks....
please let me know...

part number? and how much? and where is it on the car? in the fuel tank?

If the guage is pegged full either the wire going to the sending unit is shorted to ground, bypassing the float's resistance... or the sending unit is messed up.

well how to fix it ....also i have another problem, when i hit a bump or something my front right speaker makes STATIC NOISES, and it plays fine when sitting or driving on a smooth road.....

actually now looking at my manual the guage is full at 88ohms and empty at 1.1 ohms so shorting it to ground it would read empty sry .. perhaps a bad ground
