id get some hardened pushrods; new rockers; and lifters and u should be ok
EDIT: i noticed u dont have headers; it would be a good time to get those if u want some nice power

yeah the 305 isnt that big, so if you look at your stock lifters and they still look decent, you could probably reuse them. stock rockers will work just fine, but youll see more gains by going with 1.6 rockers.
-hardened pushrods
-stock replacement timing chain/sprocket
-new valvesprings/retainers/locks (LT4 springs if you keep the stock rockers, something larger if you go with 1.6 rockers)

You only need hardened pushrods if you are going with NSA rocker arms. If you get self aligning your old pushrods will work. Although hardened pushrods are cheap and good insurance. Also upgrade the timing chain. Its absolutely stupid to put a stock replacement chain back in your motor Its not that uncommon for people to break stock timing chains on stock motors, and with a cam you are gonna rev even higher. Depending on the route you go its a lot cheaper to spend $200 on a good chain setup rather than blow up your motor.

Actually what timing chain set and timing cover gaskets you guys recomend? I have a stock cam but I got the Scorpions RR's on the way.

Ya know I cant trust this local autoparts shops. They try to pass the wrong parts all the time and I would hate to open then engine just to find out I have to special order something (takes almost two weeks on this friggin rock).
If you guys have any part numbers or where you get them from, your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

If you do enough research you'll find people who have busted bearings with a hotcam; it doesnt mean it's always gonna happen. a stock replacement timing chain and sprocket would work just fine.

Those are all posts saying stock chains shouldn't be used with an aftermarket cam setup or instances where people break stock chains. There are more i just figured this was enough to prove that a stock chain is a bad idea. Go ahead and run a stock chain in your cam setup and we'll wait to watch you bitch and moan about a blown up bottom end.

Re: getting CC 305 cam, what needs replacing
if he went any bigger than a 305 Id suggest a beefier chain as well. he didnt mention porting his heads, so running a 305 on stock heads isnt going to produce that much power. it's worked just fine for people with hotcams, 846s and 305s, so I dont see any reason to drop ~$250 on an LT4 HD if he retains his mechanical waterpump.

...and half the people in the links you provided didn't line up the timing teeth correctly. the first one broke a stock timing chain on a 383 with an LE2 package who didnt see that coming...
Im not telling him to reuse his stock chain. Im suggesting he get a stock replacement timing chain.

So what you are saying is a stock chain thats been beat on by a stock cam isn't ok, but its ok to put in a new stock chain and beat on it with a bigger aftermarket cam that will make more hp and rev higher.
If you bothered to read those posts those guys were asking about lining up dots and having trouble getting their cars to run after timing chain breaks.
