getting service engine light(code information inside)
I just scanned car today.....service engine light is solid on....yesterday,car really acted like it wanted to fall on its face when it was cold and i would load car by putting it into higher gear(say 6th at like 50mph)...it stopped cutting out after a few minutes and didnt happen again.....during this time service engine light was blinking....now its solid again....
code 1 - P04434
code 2 - P04114
code 3 - P03004
anyone with a code book and a little knowledge would be great....i scanned car with my superchips microtuner but code book is for 2002 chevy truck...im not sure if codes are the same or not.... current car is 1996 transam.....
if anyone has access to list of codes that would be helpful also....any help is appreciated.....
thanks!

Almost looks like it is adding a "4" at the end of each code.... P0300 would be "misfire detected", and if you dropped the "4" from the other two, you would get P0443 = Evap purge solenoid; P0411 = AIR incorrect flow. Niether of those would be screwing up the car badly, unless the check valve in the AIR system were bad and/or the EEC solenoid was stuck open.

i reset codes with my scanner to clear engine light....light is still off but when i drove car this evening it still has a slight stumble....it seems when car is cold.....when toeing into gas around 1800-2000 rpm it has a slight misfire that makes car seem jerky....once it reaches 2000 it stops.....any ideas....

i had someone replay and say problem could be related to opti or plugs/wires.....
i just bought the car a week ago.....opti was replaced by previous owner last summer when he replaced waterpump.....plugs/wires have over 50,000 miles on them since replacement....im thinking its wires/plugs myself.....now this is my first 4th gen,but ive heard terrible stories of how much fun it is to replace plugs/wires....anyone have any recommendations for which type plugs/wires to use....also, any idea of easiest way to accomplish the changeout....
thanks,
john
