Getting Vibration 2k and up

If I am sitting in park and rev the motro up it vibrates really bad. Can not figure out what it could be. It does it as well when you are moving down the road. The damper/pulley does not look like it is wobbling on the car. If I take it off the car and stick in the lath it wobbles pretty good. Don't know if this is normal. That is the only thing I think it could be. This vibration shake the dash and center console. It seem to me like it is getting worse. I just rebuild the motor and this wosen't present when I first started it. I have poly motor mounts and this I think make it more inhansed, but make the problem harded to find. Any help would be great. Thanks, John

If you just rebuilt it, it could be balancing problems. Or motor mounts. or a stiff *** tranny mount...

I don't see where a tranny mount would do that sitting still. No one has had aproblem like this.

I'd try a different balancer and see what that does for you. Could it be something on the back side of the motor? I know that's a worse senario? Maybe the flywheel is loosening up or something like that. I hope not for your sake. Either way I wouldn' t drive it until you get it figured out.

I have the same problem with my motor that I just built about 3 months ago....I know my problem is that my flywheel(flexplate) is loose and just haven't gotten a chance to fix it. It is also now cracked.....

I don't think it is my flywheel cause I torqued them. So I would lean more toward the balancer. What make me think it is the balancer is it comes and goes as the rpm's go up. The rubber on the balancer has some cracks but does not look all that bad.

I am trying to deside which balancer to buy.

looking at your balancer there are holes going all the way around it. are any of the holes filled w/ weights? if so, when you rebuilt your motor did you put the hub on the crank correctly?

I have a vibration at only 2k and think it's from my hub not being on right after I did my conversion.

Yes I installed the hub correct. I even took it off and reinstalled it just to check, cause that is what I thought it was. There is some weight in some holes and other are there are none and you can see throw them.
