Arrow Glovebox not closing tight. Question and pic....

The glovebox on the '93 I bought not long ago isn't closing tight. I'm trying to figure out if this is the lock/handle assembly or the metal piece on the other side. Here's a picture of the metal piece.
Does it look right to you or does it look bent? I know the pic isn't very good, but if you look carefully, you should be able to tell.

I asked Rob aka shoebox about this a few days ago and he mentioned something about a few adjusting screws. I tried those and it didn't help the problem. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Mine started doing that crap a while back. I got fed up after replacing the door & just yanked it completely. I just use the center console for storage.

I got tired of my door rattling and sagging, it got so bad the light would stay on inside the box. Although the firebird box is a little different, i drilled a hole and put a rubber peice about a quarter inch thick in with a screw right where the light trigger is, no more rattle and no more light on.

It's easier to fix than you may realize. That square metal piece that sticks out in the photo's....you just bend it down a bit so it hits the latch in the right spot.

Tools needed: one hand
Time to complete: 15 seconds

I had the same problem myself a couple years ago. Somehow it got bent out of place.
