Is it gonna hurt/change something on my madz28 pcm tune???
Well its probably a dumb question but i ask it.
Right now in the mail my pcm is coming back home after having been tune by Ion.When i order my tune(last week) on the modification form i ve wrote that i have a 48mm stock throttle body with airfoil.
Since its my birthday in 2 weeks my girlfriend surprised me this morning by
ordering me a stock rebuilt tb,ported to 52mm with ported match air foil and a nice tb plate from Matt Blum(MJBLUM on ebay or 97pontta on this board).
-The tb: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...1666887&rd=1,1
-The plate: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LT1-T...QQcmdZViewItem
Is it gonna change something or do i need to send back my pcm to change the tune for a 52mm tb???
Thank you

what!? I put on a stock ported tb, and my shiftpoints were all messed up, and it shifted very softly. I was told that when changing tb, I had to get the computer tuned for it, and increase tranny line pressure. Am I missing something?

YES you need to have the PCM tuned for it . Even Ion will tell you so .
The reason being is cuz the shifts will get softer and put more wear
on the transmission bands and clutches , Eventually it could lead
to transmission failure in extreme cases .

Your missing the fact his car is an M6 not an A4 like yours.

It was probably because your TPS was not set up correctly for the new TB. Transmission line pressure would have nothing to do with changing the TB.

Matt did my TB earlier this summer and I absoutly love it! IMO the quality and service is great, I have had no problems what so ever and I sent it to him on a Tuesday and he had it rebuilt and back to my that Friday, to say the least I was impressed.
