From what I have heard they are a big waste of money. Get a tune from madwolf instead. Does the same stuff and is a hell of a lot cheaper.

They are a waste of $$ unless you have a lot of performance mods. Also even if you have mods with no tune done to your PCM, you will notice no h/p gain unless you have a tune done. And I dont know if you are thinking about it or if you have already done it... dont de-screen your MAF...lol it dosent do anything for you! good luck

Re: Granatelli Maf ?'s

Do a search I have only ever seen one lone knowlegable person defend that POS as anything but complete garbage. Notice I said knowledgable, more people than that defend them but they are for the most part the same ones that believe everything they read in a magazine.
Two things are required of an MAF one is accurate info the pcm can understand, the second is to not restrict air flow the stocker fits the bill very well till something up over 400RWHP yes rear wheel.

On some other vehicles the MAF can be used to tune but this is a halfassed work around for vehicles where they can't do the tuning correctly through the pcm, our pcmss are very easy and cheap to access. Custom tuning starts around $50 and WILL give you more gain every time than a $300 MAF because not only does it permanently adjust fueling but spark as well and does so much more precisely. The aftermarket sells this crap because everyone want the simple solution, same can be said about Hypertech and such for the price of that POS you can buy a cheap older laptop a cable to load custom tuning and buy the custom tune.

Re: Granatelli Maf ?'s

As for a person who will go beyond basic bolt ons and plan on tuning the car. The are NOT worth it at all.

People like Madwolf, or Bryan Herter at PCMforless.com uses the MAF sensor to guage the intake of air. Aftermarket MAF's tricks the pcm into thinking more air is coming in, thus more fuel is dispersed.

As for a tuner, it will throw off his numbers and the car will not be right.

Re: Granatelli Maf ?'s

The stock maf is all you need....not modify/upgrade it.
