gray smoke out the pipes when shifting?

A friend was behind me when I got on it. He said he could tell everytime I shifted as there was puffs of light gray smoke that would come out of the back. Is this just maybe unburnt fuel that is in there that is ignited and blown out whenever I lifted off excelerator, shifted, then punched it again? black=fuel, white=antifreeze, blue=oil, right? What does seeing light gray everytime I go through a shift series mean?
Thanks

That probably is fuel, it just looks gray. I don't know what would cause it though, unless your vavle seals are leaking. Or you're running rich for some reason.
