Great Tool to learn about Cause and effect of cams
I strongly suggest desktop dyno. I wouldn't use it to guess your power but rather to see cause and effect.
Ie what will advancing timing do to my curve. what will increase in compression do. what will an earlier intake opening point do- yada yada...
There are a number of issues that concern me with the accuracy of the numbers. For example there is no piston cc input parameter. There is no parameter for volume of the runners. Im confident that with cam specs at .006 and .050 it could provide more accurate numbers as well. This is just speculation and I wouldn't use it to estimate hp numbers.
And just for the record
535 ft/lbs @ 3500 rpms
498hp @5500 rpms

Trey, you should add or subtract your piston cc from the combustion chamber CC. It deosn't simulate the geometry so that simplification won't make a difference. I actually haven't used it that much, but it got my flywheel converted dyno numbers right on! I agree though it should be used more to estimate relative differences and not speculate about total power. I also wish the cam specs where a lil easier to enter and manipulate.

you nerd
uhm, how might one go about getting his hands on this software?
on a side note: how in the world did you become a senior member? for as long as i can remember, i've never heard you say anything that sounded overly wise or prophetic. j/k
trey, with the whole "senior" thing, now you sound OOOOOOLD!!!
