Guage in cup holder, how did you do it?

How did you guys mount your 2 1/16 autometer guages in your cup holders? I was looking at it and there is a black box which I was told is the ABS box. It sits like 1 inch above the cup holder when the console is down. Does anyone have pics? I am realy fixed on having my nitrous guage there. Any ideas? I dont want to mount it in the pillar or in the ac vents.

Not sure how to do that but I think it would be a lot harder and more dangerous to mount it there and look down at it every now and again when driving or racing...I have mine in the vents and it looks pretty good...see link below...Also I do agree with you with not having them on the pillar especially if you are trying to go for the sleeper look. Its also hard for for folk to see it in the Vents when you are driving so you still have your gauge flush mounted and somewhat of a sleeper look too...Just my opinion.

Either way TTT for ya,

What size are those guages? I have a 2 1/16 nitrous autometer guage, will it fit in there?

My cupholder is behind the shifter. Not where I would want a gauge.

Well mine is behind the shifter also :-) I just want my n2o presure gauge there so I can monitor it every now and then. I will already have a dual pillar setup, and I dont want a tri pillar. Help! :-)

Lightbulb

I looked at putting it in the cup holder and decided it would be too much work so I did the easy thing and mounted it in the astray hole. I just close the lid when Im not planning on using the juice......plus you have a light to see it at night.

Ill try to get you a pic but my digital camera is broke. What I did was simply mount it in the hole under the ashtry. I can actually put the ashtray back where it goes and the gauge is completely hidden even with the lid up. It actually doesnt look that great....its just mounted to the bolt that holds the console in place....but if stealth is what you want its a good setup.
