i dunno about that man i've heard plenty of horror stories about that kind of thing, kooks are proven headers however and i have heard a lot of praise for them and very little problems with them

They had a whole bunch made up and they're selling well.
They are a nice looking stainless header, but they are not coated.
Otherwise, I'd have bought a set.

There a are few threads over on LS1tech.
PM me if you need help locating them.

Ok, thanks, I have been away from the game for a few months now so some things have slipped through the cracks.

This un known header company is LPP. There is a thread in the LT1 section and exhuast section. They are stainless, similar to kooks design, great ground clearence. Think they are 500-600 including the y pipe.

If you can find a set, buy them asap. Now as for the GMMG, there are other things i would spend 750 on before that. But this is your car and not mine so do what you please. But i would at least consider the hooker CB and managaflow CB. Both cost $300 and would free up your budget for kooks or leave you with enough money to buy more HP mods.(ewp, tb)

The sub frame connectors should come stock on these cars as far as i am concerned. I would tell anyone for them to be the first mod done. I would look into SLP's and UMI's 3pt sfc's, they look great. I am even thinking of taking off my BMR's for them.

If you dont already have a cold air intake and a pcm tune you should get both. The 2 will be a 15-20rwhp gain, then pair them with the full exhaust(25-30rwhp gain) for a 40-50rwhp gain. Thats what i would do.

Good luck here bud.

I didn't mean to offend anyone about those headers . And if everyone thinks they are a good set then I'm interested. But I have heard horror stories about that kind of thing, sorry if i seemed paranoid.

I have considered an electric water pump, but my car is my DD in the summer months and I do take it on a road trip now and then and the fact that their durability isn't that of the stock pump kinda makes me nervious, if I'm being foolish someone please straighten me out, I'm a newb.

About a throttle body, would I experiance any gains from a STOCK motor with a bigger TB? I know to support cam and head work you NEED one but I thought that it didn't make much of a difference on a stock motor ?

As I said I'm a newb and just trying to figure this stuff out
I'm sincerely grateful for all the help/advise you guys have to offer

Correct, there is really no need to upgrade the throttle body yet, save the money towards a different mod.

i go by the phrase "every little bit helps".
I have every bolt on except a ewp and put down the numbers in the sig.

So is their better mods, yep for sure. But to bolt on 8rwhp isnt that bad. you can pick up a crank pulley for 100 thats 5-6rwhp.

The real power mods will be headers, catback, cai, 1.6rr, pcm tune, ewp. Everything else is going to be 5-10hp. So pick wisely if your on a budget.
