Guess my Dyno Results Tomorrow!
Ok Its not a tech questions but it does relate to how well all my LT1 mods have worked together to give me car X amount of horsepower..
The first dyno run will measure how well Brian from PCM FOR LESS dialed in my tune with just a mail order. The Final result will show Jeremy Formato's tune using a dyno. I've known Jeremy for years before he tuned cars so we will see how he does with the LT1's as I already know he's great with the LS1's. Tune happens tomorrow. Here is the Vehicle Specs:
355 cubic inch LT1
Cast Eagle Crank
Forged SIR Eagle Rods
TRW Speed Pro Forged Pistons Moly Rings 11.1.:1 Static Compression
LE2 heads (believe mid 270's cfm at .550)
Cam 230/230 .6 lift in/exh. 107LSA
Stock Lifters
1.6 Comp Roller Rockers non-self aligning
Moroso Cold air
Descreened MAF with Larger plastic ends
52mm TB with Airfoil
Port matched LT1 intake manifold
30Lbs SVO injectors
Long Tube Jet Hot Headers
Custom 3in. Y pipe with 2 high flow cats. Based off 2 cfm's supporting 1hp these cats should allow around 370rwhp without any loss in hp.
3in. Borla with the smallest adjuster plate (opening size of a 1/2 dollar) Too loud other wise.
CSI Electric Water Pump
TB coolant bypass
T56 transmission with stock Flywheel.
255 Walbro Fuel Pump
93 Octane gas
LT4 knock module. Current Tune allows for a max of 5 degrees retard
160 thermostat with 180 fan settings
Stock brand new Opti
Taylor 8mm wires
TR6 NGK plugs gapped at .038
Alright anything else you want to know ask. But lets start guessing. !

Did you have your intake manifold inlet ported to match your 58mm? Was your intake manifold fully ported by lloyd... meaning he got rid of the ski ramps near each injector site?
You have a larger TB but not sure if thats actually needed for our set up. We will see.
You have better Valves in your head. I have SI valves you have Ferrera. And likely a better intake manifold if its been fully ported.. You area also not running any Cats.. I think i might lose 3-5hp because of the cats. 3-5 rwhp from not having a fully ported intake and 3-5rwhp from not running Ferrera. But I have the electric water pump which should get around 10rwhp and possibly a better cold air set up (moroso = same as lingenfelter's design)
Those are the main differences...
Oh forgot I have a 1LE drive shaft should be good for a few ft lbs of torque.

Mail order tune
369/347
And the results are.............
389/365
The power curve is much smoother now. The mail order tune was very lean so we weren't able to keep on it after 5250k. Richened it up a lot and removed some timing to get 389/365.
The initial curve was kinda bumpy. I would post the dyno sheet up but not sure how too on here.
I noticed that the car does not really have a defined peak hp number. Once it gets to 5700k it holds very close to 380's until you shift.
I do believe that my 52mm throttle body was holding me back. Also the restrictor plate in the borla held me back some as well. Look to pick up another 10rwhp with a 58 and matched manifold if i went that route.
I'm happy with how the car runs smoother as well and the power increase is noticeable. It made as much power as i thought it would make so im happy.
Thanks to Lloyd Elliot for putting together a great street performance package at a low cost!
