Hard Start

Re: Hard Start
BOTH????? If the IAC was causing it to start hard, it would not allow the car to idle either. I assume it idles fine but takes a long time to crank. If I assume correctly, try this the next time you go to start it when it's cold. Turn the key to on but don't crank it. KOEO. for 2 seconds then turn the key off. Then repeat the process 4 more times. KOEO for 2 seconds then off. After the 5th time, try cranking it. If it starts up quickly, that proves the fuel is draining away from the fuel rails. A couple of things could be the bad guy if that's the case so exerimentation is needed to pinpoint the bad guy but it's probably the check ball in the fuel pump.
If the KOEO cycling did not help the slow starting, then the next time you try to start it, hold the throttle to the floor. If it starts easier now the problem is entirely different components envolved. Usually the injectors or the FPR.

Re: Hard Start
Yeah, when the MARO is warm, it idles fine with no hesitation. It is only when it has sat for a while or overnight, that I'm getting that hard start. Could a vacum leak cause these same symptons? I notice I have a leak.
