has anyone had luck with an poti from autozone or oreilly ?

this is BS...the cap and rotor do fine...the actual Optical sensor goes bad. you have to buy a complete opti to get that...if you do what you say, your wasting your time andbut if you buy a new unit and replace the seals ever20k or so you might could help save it, but it really isnt wort the trouble since if you buy a GM unit, they can last up to 160k...i have 132k on my stock one and a friend has 165k on his.
