hatch release button...

I opened my hatch and it worked. Then I closed it and tried to open it again and it's not working. What could be broken? The button itself or the hatch mechanism?

It just stopped working just like that, what could it be?

Maunually open your hatch and then close it again...slam it down (but don't get crazy). That fixed mine when it happened to me.
