I was able to torque down most of them when I had my engine out. The others are guesses based on how tight they feel compared to the torqued ones.

I use both 12 pt and socket head bolts depending on their location. I have about half a dozen box end and allen wrenches bent and cut for tightening the bolts from all the different directions you have to reach in there. It has become an artform at this point.

Never heard of aluminum bolts either if that post was directed at me. I was talking about the aluminum heads vs the steel bolts.

You tighten the Breslin fasteners with a 3/8-inch 12-point closed-end wrench then insert an 1/8-inch hex key into the top of the fastener, turn the hex key to expand the bottom threaded end of the fastener. To remove the fastener, just reverse the process!

Those things look like a good idea. I may try them out. Just how expensive are they?

Also, how much was is to get your wheels widened? Your car sounds exactly like how mine will be in a few years.

I paid $65. for a set. Expensive, but worth every penny! I don't have to worry about them backing out from the constant heat cycle, and the wheels cost me $240. a piece to have done.

They only come off when you want them to. They are the same as regular header bolts. After they are tightened down, there are special washers you slip over the head of the bolts. Then a c clip holds it all together. The special washer is hex-shaped on the inside. It will rest against the header pipe, preventing the bolt from backing out. 56 bucks from summit. Next to satellite television and air conditioning, its the best invention of the 20th century...
