Re: Header install
Have you searched yet? Here's a couple sites I used to guide me - however don't expect to follow any one of them step by step, as your install will most likely differ since you may be running a different setup....even if it were the same, you would probably have to do something a different way or run into a problem someone else didn't -- on the bright side, you may find some things easier.
Generally, expect to remove: serp. belt, alternator, starter, steering linkage, spark plugs, valve covers if you are going to attempt the install from above (I wouldn't even attempt the pass. side this way -- it I were to do it all over again, I would have broken the motor mount bolts loose right off the bat to same A LOT of time and frustration....).
Good luck.

This would be a worse case scenario. Each header brand is a lttle different, but I only had to remove the spark plugs, alternator/bracket, and oil sensor (It's in the way on my 93). I thought about removing the steering linkage and valve covers, but after a little fidgiting I was finally able to slip the headers in.
It's a good time to change wires and plugs too.

Re: Header install
YES - the Gauge Temp sensor. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH IT. I was, and I still broke the SOB.... Oh well, $8 AZone, not bad, but yea - PITA when anything breaks, though there are a lot worse things that you could break. My car still does not give me a temp reading because I haven't had time to fix it being in school, and I figured I'd just wait till I flushed the coolant anyway. My fan LEDs will turn on when the low fan is on, so I kinda monitored it that way for the week I drove it.
Not to take this thread away, but you said to just take out the gauge sensor - does it just come out without coolant along with it? Would I lose a lot of coolant if I just pulled it or should I wait till I get around to flushing? Thanks!
