Heads/cam gasket replacements

Quick question for you guys, I'm trying to do a budget heads/cam install so I'm trying to keep things cheap in whatever ways possible. Thunder Racing sells a complete gasket kit for a heads/cam swap for 225.00. Or would it be cheaper if I just ordered all of these gaskets individually from Jason or Dal? Just curious if anyone has gone this route before.

Re: Heads/cam gasket replacements

I'll sell you a pair of LT4 head gaskets for 50.00 shipped
to help keep your costs down.
PM if interested.

Re: Heads/cam gasket replacements

Sorry, I should have specified, I am not doing an LT4 heads/cam build. I am sticking with the stock LT1 castings which will be ported by good ole' Lloyd and I will probably be getting a shelf cam from Comp.

Fel-Pro High performance gaskets
FEL-1074... Head gaskets....$32.95 each
FEL-1284... Intake gaskets...$22.95 pair
FEL-1470... Header gaskets...24.95 pair
these prices are from sdpc but the sponsors here should have them at a better price.

Re: Heads/cam gasket replacements

Here is what the description says:
LT1 Cylinder Head & Camshaft Swap Gasket Package Includes: GM Front Timing Cover Gasket, GM Opti-Spark Seal, GM Crank Seal, GM Water Pump Drive Seal, GM EGR Gaskets, GM Throttle Body Gasket, GM LT1 or LT4 Intake Manifold Gaskets, GM Valve Cover Gaskets, GM Water Pump Gaskets, Cylinder Head Gaskets, Cylinder Head to Coolant Tube gaskets, Fel-Pro Header Gaskets
I'm sure getting the intake, head, and header gaskets from supporting vendors isn't a problem, but all those other ones are probably more dealer specific, right?

Re: Heads/cam gasket replacements

You can get them in the dealership, I think it be more expensive, fel-pro makes all the gaskets you listed.
