HEI dist. with stock EFI/inatke?

My car eats optis every 200 miles. The dowell pin is the correct length and it is not getting wet. I want to convert to a regular HEI dist, can this be done? Retaining the stock intake and PCM?

I dont know about using the stock ECM but i know you can get the connect distributor spacor for the conversion from www.LT1intake.com They are like $25 or so. Another thing to think about would be the LTCC conversion. It is kinda costly but it is worth it to not have to buy optis like crazy. Im not positive but you might be able to use a bad opti with the LTCC setup sence i think its only used as a kindof pulse sensor.
