Help with 1.6rr
Thinking about getting 1.6rr's. My car is all bolt on so far. Any advice in choice of roller rockers with 3/8 studs. Anything else I should replace or do? Do I need stronger valve springs and new push rods? Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I like the Comp products, you'll get different inputs as to brand. Better valve springs are a definite and stronger pushrods are recommended as well. Depending which rocker arms you go with, you may have to notch the valve covers as well.

My advice would be go with 7/16 rockers (Comp Pro Magnum). Also get a set of chrome moly pushrods (Trickflow), guideplates (Trickflow), and a good set of springs. These upgrades will be a good base for future mods (heads/cam).

Awesome, thanks for the info, what kind of springs should I go with, maybe lt4 springs? Not looking for anything fancy, just something to support the 1.6rr's till future cam, heads, etc..

I was wondering about how to go about ordering lt4 springs and such as well. I know shbox has the part numbers on his website, but how many of each part will I need?
The bold part #'s I absolutely need, and the others are optional.
12495494 - lt4 valve spring set (set of 16)
12495492 - lt4 valve spring retainers (set of 16)
12495503 - lt4 valve locks (set of 32)
10212809 - Shims... Do I need these and how many? (part # for 1 shim)
2x 10212810 - valve seals, intake (set of 4)
2x 12564852 - valve seals, exhaust (set of 5)

NSA rockers are the best route, all you need extra is hardened pushrods, isky adjustable plates. While doing this you should upgrade to 7/16 studs...its almost like free hp compared to the 3/8 studs..
