Help 383 has fuel and spark, but won't run???

Help 383 has fuel and spark, but won't run???
Ok, I had it lit Thursday night. Friday, I wired up the electric water pump, and put the radiator hoses on it. We put water in it, and started it again. It ran awesome, so we let it run for about 15 minutes while we added water and checked for leaks. It started to idle funny but would run when throttled up. Finally it died, but restarted immediately and seemed to idle a little better. We listened to it run, maybe goosed it up to about 4 grand, but nothing too silly. Sounded great BTW. This is where it gets wierd.....We were gonna take it out for a short trip to the butcher shop, backed it down off of the ramps, put some power steering fluid in it(forgot about that) and then it died. Couldn't get it restarted. We figured it was low enough on gas that it just wasn't picking up, so we put a couple of gallons in it. Still no start. We pulled the number 1 plug, and it was dry. Checked for spark, and didn't see any. Had a friend bring over his coil/module and I tried his...got spark. So I had my module tested, and it showed up good, so I bought a new coil. Now I have great spark. I have 42-46 psi of fuel pressure and fuel is at the valve. The injectors are pulsing (we checked them with a meter). The wierdest part is that when I let off of the key, it tries to diesel. WTF??? I am open to any and all suggestions, just frustrated out of my friggin mind....please help!!!

hmm...id say opti is on wrong, but you said it idled good for 15 min so that doesnt make sense, it is deffnitly something with timming(electronics) from sounds of it. Umm you migh want to check all the fuses, esp an engine fuse if u have one, inectors, fuel pump etc. I bet thats the problem. Hurry up and bring her back to life

Checked all fuses and pump is brand new.....just don't know where else to look. She sounded awesome when she was running!! I can't wait to get her up again.
