Help! Car Keeps Overheating!

It all started when I got a leak in my water pump. So I changed the water pump, put new coolant and water in, drained the air out of the radiator, put a new thermostat in and now... my car is still overheating. I don't understand what the problem is. I changed the water pump, everything looks good. What else could it be causing it to overheat? It does okay for a few minutes while running, but then the temp guage shows it getting hotter and hotter and the check guages sensor comes on. What is the problem? What can I do?

Not sure what procedure you used to bleed air out, but try bleeding some more. Sounds like you have air pockets.

REad this, it may help. if you didn't remove all of the air from the block, the cooling system isn't going to work correctly.
