Always good to reference Shoebox's Tech Pages for the correct, LT1-specific code listing:
DTC 23 = Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit (signal voltage high, low temperature indicated)
It sounds like the connector is off your IAT sensor, the wire is broken or the sensor is deceased. You can check for +5V at the harness wires with the connector off the sensor, then check the resistance of the sensor. At 50degF the sensor should read 5,670 ohms.
