For 500 dlls u can buy any CAI, There will be little performace difference if anything at all between brand name CAI. Look into Arizona speed and marine, K&N FIPK, Moroso, and SLP.

i went with Lingenfelter, it was pretty cheap, i think 160 bucks and does a good job, and came with a huge k and n filter, the looks arent the best, but if you want looks too, go with the slp

I like the SLP because it looks great and you can ice the tube along with the intake for the track.

Re: Cold induction kit

One of the best mods for me was a k&n air filter induction kit. There about $210.00 and really really noticable difference in the throttle response and accleration. Horepower TV, Hot rod TV and magazine, Pop Hot rod Magazine and many many more magazines recommened and rate the K&n air filter kit the best kit to upgrade or Morrosso but your better off with k&n. Slp is good but the k&n lives up to it's name and dyno porven horspower 30 at the wheels with a catback system.

I went with the K&N Fuel injection performance sytem...that was the only thing i could find around here but ive notice a pretty significant increase in power. I got mine for around 210.

Don't forget to check eBay for a used system. Any of the brands mentioned above will be wayyyy under $200 used, and will perform about the same. There is also the Callaway Honker, that is the same as the Moroso. I used that one for several years.

Cool

Having used Moroso, SLP and AS&M, I'll add the AS&M is easiest fit with non OEM elbow and by far the easiest for removal and cleaning of filter.

SLP is best looking (IMO) and is iceable

with your $500 price limit you could buy two just for sh**s and giggles (unless your talking canadian or something)
