Help with intake bolts
Alright! Got the intake on but noticed that when i was installing the intake manifold bolts.. I was short one bolt, and I had one stud that seemed too tall up top, and shorter than the rest..
oye! Could someone post a picture of their intake with bolts or a picture of the bolt set?
Is the stud for the alt bracket longer than the rest of the studs that go into the intake?
Also, does sealer need to go on the threads? I didnt see the factory manual recommend sealer.. but just want to be sure

No sealer and go to www.shbox.com and you can find plenty of pictures. Hopefully you will find them before I can post them

You should use thread sealant on the bolts. They go through to inside the valve covers and are exposed to oil on the other end. This will help stop any oil from migrating out.
Here is another pic of intake bolts.

Looks like I have the bolts out of position.. and thats why i ended up with a stud on the very last bolt position on the passenger side. I just wasnt sure that the longer stud was actually supposed to go into the intake

This may be because I'm still noobish to engine dis/reassembly, but a good tip is to get a shoebox or larger cardboard box. Punch holes in the box with a screwdriver and put the bolts in those holes, labeling what they are and where they go. My friend is an engineer, so he is way more **** than me, and he actually drew pictures of the intake, heads, etc., and put the bolts where they went on the drawing. LOL. Helping me out a ton with bolts, pushrods, and brackets.
