HELP?????!!!!!!longtube install question

how do you clear the tranny brace on the drivers side for the y pipe or reducer or whatever with jet hot longtubes(ie hooker)? i have already cut the lip off the damn thing and the reducer still hits that first bolt head. i dont want to just squeeze it in there and bend the header down possibly snapping one of my stage 8 header bolts off into my alum. heads you know. theres gotta be a way.

launch hard a couple of times and it will nicely dent in the top of your Y-pipe for a perfect custom fit -- and it wont break any bolts of in your heads in the process

You could relocate the bolt and grind all the lipoff. Otherwise you have to bend the header. If you get really **** about it, you can cut the collector off a little and move the joint back.

I just unbolted that whole bracket...whats the point? You are talking about the pass side and the exhaust hanger right that bolts on the side of the trans? No point, just take it off

He's talking about the tranny mount itself, I think. I had to cut the edge of it off to clear my longtube's custom y-pipe. Sounds like his headers are sitting further back than mine were...
