Help Me Chose Guys! Brakes Set-up!
Hey Guys,
I can't decide what i want to do.
So here are the 3 choices that i'm going to present to you.
1. Ls1 Front Brake upgrade- I have a local board member selling one with new pads, that includes everything for 200
2. Go and get Bob's brackets and do the C5 or ZO6 Vette Brake Upgrade
3. almost new Powerslot-Cross drilled rotors, new pads (basically its a complete LT1 Front brakes set-up w/ calipers etc etc.)
The good thing about this is that the install would be a breeze and easier that the above. Plus the price is only like 120 i believe from another local board member.
Which should i go with? I just have never done the "ls1 brake upgrade" with buddies or anything, so im a little worried that the install might be a little PITA.
If you guys could vote and/or post and let me hear your thoughts, that would be awesome! Thanks guys!

Basically if want significantly better stopping power get the ls1 brakes..
They are not hard to install... Just make sure you have a medium size 2 arm puller for removing the knuckle from the ball joints.
Go with c5 brakes if u have the cash. It'll cost about 4 times as much as the ls1 brake install. And if u can even find the brackets for the C5 upgrade. Course you'll stop on a dime.

Yea, looks like it's b/t the ls1 and the lt1. C5 would be awesome, but i probably dont want to drop all that cash right now.
No one thinks i should go with the lt1 set-up?
If not, then it's the ls1

I have driven ls1 style camaros (it was a v6, but same brakes), obviously my lt1, and also have driven a z06.
Lt1 brakes flat out suck.
The ls1 brakes are nice, smooth, not grabby, and a noticable difference over the lt1.
Now the zo6 brakes, wow. First like i said it was on a vette, so several hundred pounds lighter, and different rear set up, but AMAZING. You have to get used to driving the car because the brakes are grabby at first and require almost no pedal effort to stop. If you actually gave the pedal pressure you were lurched forward extremely hard. After you get used to them they drive very well.
Getting back into the camaro after the drive i felt as if i was driving a 4 cyl, weighing 8000lbs and having single piston calipers.
If you have the money, go c5, but if not the ls1s are a noticable upgrade.
