I am installing a set of SLP headers for my 96 Z28 and yes, they are the ones for the duel cats. The problem is that I can’t seem to get the passenger side header in. I have tried going from the bottom and the top and can’t get that stupid triangle flange to clear either way. I have removed the back two spark plugs and the oil filter and this still doesn’t work. If you have or know about this problem, please help before I start unbolting engine mounts

Try removing starter and valve cover for more room. Good luck with the 2nd and 3rd bolts from the rear. Those headers are a pita!!

if nothing else pull the motor mount bolt and jack up the motor on that side.
