hi-miler hose install help...

i bought a hi-miler hose kit from summit about two years ago, and im just getting around to installing it. the problem im having is that i dont have an instruction kit. i have researched on their website to id hoses and i could probably match them up, but i would appreciate an instruction sheet or something.

it appears that i may have to hack into some hoses that lead to the heater core, as to separate them from aluminum lines. is that whats called for?

thanks

Re: hi-miler hose install help...

I used that kit a couple years ago, and I agree that it was confusing. I don't remember how everything went together, but I just matched the hose diameters as best I could and then tried to make everything fit. The hose lengths and shapes were definitely not 'stock', but they worked out eventually. I also needed to pick up some extra hose to complete the set in a few places.

As for the aluminum sections, I just cut off the crimp fittings and replaced them with hose clamps. Be sure to use all the fittings in the appropriate places and directions, though.

Good luck.
