Highest HP stock headed LT1 (unported heads!)

Obviously there are people that don't post on here, but from the guys on the site... what is the highest HP you know of with untouched stock heads (no port work)? Obviously it will have a power adder.

Not sure I understand your post. You just being a smart *** or do you have any useful info?

Just looking to see what the highest numbers are. Has anyone hit 600rwhp with unported stock heads? Just trying to get a feel for the range out there.

One thousand five hundred seventy-eight and one-half horsepowerz.

On a more seriouys note, the N/A figures for SAE corrected numbers is probably around 365-370.

I am thinking between 550-600rwhp is the limits with stock heads and a power adder. Any input on this?

I would say it is anyone's guess and I would not rely on anyone's guess if I really needed to know. JMHO

With enough boost you can make any amount of power I don't know anyone who has really pushed it but I would bet over 600RWHP could be done no problem with enough boost.

sure it could......

shoot a 400 hit on a good motor with an unported head and see what happens..... Its still going to make power...well over 600. Thats why I didn't understand this in the first place, then again I'm just an ***.....

With that being said I think a "realistic" (even though this is kind of off the wall) Asuming 370whp NA, then hit it with a 200 shot (175 may max the heads im not sure) you can guess around 550whp.

This post has no good info, im sorry.

I'm no turbo pro, but I would think with the right cam, a spot on tune, and enough boost 600rwhp would be possible through stock heads.

Depends on how much boost the bottom end can handle I guess .

It does not say stock bottom end, just says unported head castings.....we can do alot with that.

Yep, that was pretty much what I was getting at when I said it depends on how much the bottom end can take.

Once boost is in the equation its not really how much power can the combo make, but really how much boost it can stand.

Interesting thread just for the sake of thought, but I would like more results and less theory .

600rwhp can be done with enough boost. The question is how much?
