I have magnaflow. Raspy? No. Its louder than Hooker and is deeper toned. Me and my buddy lined our cars up side by side, he has hooker, and both of us agreed magnaflow was louder revving. Hooker is a little louder on lower RPM.s white magnaflow lets louder and the RPM's get up. Magnaflow has a deep snarl when you are on the gas hard while hooker seems to be rappy. My magnaflow system only pops very rarely on cold starts. Go with magnaflow. You wont regret it and it will last a long time due to SS. They are going for $250 on ebay now, but if you've found a magnaflow system you like, buy it. Also, there is no way magnaflow makes a camaro sound like a V6, makes it sound mean . Take it form me, magnaflow if the way to go unless you want to spend more money, then go GMMG or Corsa.

The reason Hookers rust is mainly from the inside out. If you mainly drive short trips, like less than 8 miles, there is not enough time to evaporate the water that the exhaust is producing.

I called Hooker today about the rust issue, since I'm installing mine with my MAC headers in a couple of days. I wanted to know if there was something I could do to prevent rusting. He asked me if I drive less than 8 miles per trip. He says if you do that all the time, then you can't get the system hot enough to get the built up water out of the system. Also, letting the car sit for long periods of time hurts it too.

Heck, for $280, I'll let it rust and get a new one when it rusts through. It will still last long enough to make it worth my $$$. It's worth the sound and performance from what I hear.

Hooker is not Obnoxious loud.. it is deep and mellow. It sounds great. My friend has magnaflow and it is raspy and pops a lot. I have heard both and that is why I went with hooker, it jsut is better!
