Question Hooker Shorties, Emission fittings

I just installed Hooker shorties on my car. I removed the emission fittings from the stock maniflods but they do not fit the headers. The flanges that hooker has on there are larger then the stock fitting.

Well, what i need to know is what size fitting do i need to buy?

Also how did you all make a 3" round pipe to the oval flange after the y-pipe. So far i have reshaped one end of my Cat to fit the flange.

Thanks in advance...

You do have the headers for 94/95 and not 93, right? Maybe GM changed the fittings mid year and you need to get 94 fittings?
I don't understand the question about the flange. Do you have the extra flange that comes with the headers to weld to your cat?

The headers i got are for a 94-95. Part number HOK-2062-1.

I did get flange with my headers but the hole in the flange is oval. What i am wanting to know is did everyone w/ these headers shape the pipe in front of the cat or how did you do it.

I am using a 3" high flow cat.

At the muffler shop they will shape the inlet of the cat to the flange and weld it up.

ok, well i have already shaped it. I haven't decided to if i want to have a muffler shop weld it of if i am going to do it myself.

you pretty sure that a 94 has a different fitting? if so i'll stop by the dealer and pick them up.

I just talk to the parts man at the dealer. There are 2 different AIR setups for 95. Of course these headers are for the one i don't have. He is ordering in the pipes for the other setup.

I am surprised i haven't heard anything about this before.

Anyone else have this problem?
