Hot cam problems. Overheats and no idle HELP

its 3:00 am in the morning and im stumped. I put my LT4 hotcam in and my new ported headers, and bbk shorty headers on tonight. Started the car up and it ran pretty smooth {considering it had to blow all the antifreeze out of the exhast due the the blown headgasket I fixed} The car was Idoling then just fine(Awsome Lope) I was bleeding the air out of the lines and watching the temp. The temp was just about in red and the fans never kicked on! So I waited about 15 min started it up again and decided to take it down the road. As soon as I started it back up it died. tried again same thing. I have to give it gas to even start it. Please help me. tomorrow I am going to but another thermostat 180 and hopefully try whatever suggestions I recieve from this post. Mostly appreciative for any thoughts!

Re: Hot cam problems. Overheats and no idle HELP

You said you blew your head gasket, head gaskets are likfe fuses, when they go theirs always a reason. The most common way to blow a head gasket is by over heating. I'm guessing the heating up priblem was from before, your car have ac? Turn the ac on and see if it kicks the fans on. If you dont, go under the hood and look in the fuse box, pull the air pump fuse, that will trigger the ses light when you start it up and should turn the fans on. If your fans arent comming on thats why its over heating and thats why your going to blow another head gasket if you let it heat up.
