Thats basically all I was saying, was that the stock bearings after already probably being worn may not be able to handle a cam that spins that high, or needs to be spun that high to get the power out of it. I wasn't saying the cam itself can damage or spin the bearing, didn't mean for it to come out that way.

The Hotcam is one of the best "Bang for the Buck" cams out there. Espeacially for daily drivers. I used to drive my car to work and back, about 140miles round trip every day then drive to the track on Friday nites, another 90 miles round trip. The car ran 12.20's@110mph N/A and 11.40's@120mph on 150HP NX then streetrace on the way home and it never left me anywhere! Thats what I call fun. But the speed bug bit me bad and I had to run low 10's. The car is still very streetable but I don't trust it to go everywhere like I used to. Later Clint

I've always seen great results out of the little Hotcam, regardless of it's size or "age".
I'm thinking about tossing one in my 95 M6 [Hooker LT/SLP CAI/True Duals]

You bringing back all threads from the dead huh Dustin? I got same mileage with the Hotcam and stock cam. It is very mild but makes good torque. I would run something a little bigger now but back then it worked great.

Yes, I bring many of them back, but it's because I do a lot of research. There is tons of great information archived on here, you just got to look for it.
Either way, thanks for the info Clint.

I think it's impressive that someone who had been posting in this almost 5 year old thread actually responded within 24 hours of its resurrection.
Everyone always seems to say go bigger whenever the hotcam is mentioned, but for whatever reason I'm more interested in the baby cams. I've heard the "Cadillac" cam is a nice, small cam. I think maybe SpeedInc grinds them.
