And honestly Waistin_Rubber that set-up is way out of your reach and almost everyone else here, unless you are a millionare with lots of money to burn.
I used to post the same stuff way back when I got my Z at 1st. Dreams are fun aren't they! I wish I could have the ultimate F-body some day too. But seriously, there is a lot of good knowledge here on this board, you will learn a lot and find out much more affordable and realistic ways to make your car much more fun.
Some people will probably give you some **** about this post, but don't worry, these are all pretty good guys. Sit back, read and learn, and make posts when you need some more knowledge about a subject. Also, if you are thinking about a subject, try doing a search on the board because someone probably had the same question as you.
Have fun, and enjoy your f-bod!

I don't need to have a million dollars...Just need to have friends that can get wholesale engine parts
Also as far as I figure...
-Moser............................~2,000
-ACPT Drive shaft...............~795
-Richmond 6 speed.........~2,000
-Ram Air II Hood................~650
-LS6 + Labor & parts.......still waiting
so approximately 5,000 for the drive train minus engine...I know this is the perfect place to put this in because I have an LT1 and I want to mod it with a good setup. It's not crazy or out of reach Just that I know it can be done

If you really want an ls1/ls6 you would be better off just selling your car and getting a ls1 fbody then do what you want with it. I think you mistaking about the ls1 block and sleeving it to be able to do a 427. If it were that easy then a lot of other people would be doing it. But i haven't read up on it so i don't know for sure. You would be much better off just staying with the lt1. Do a nice 383 or 396 stroker setup. You can get plenty of power out of these engines. The parts for the engine is a lot cheaper also. So with the discount you can get on engine parts you would be saving a lot of money. Imo that the best route you could go unless you really just want a ls6 427 that bad.

To Jason...Just having my Camaro is a dream...It came true! Besides if you don't have dreams you'd be living with out any possibilities
To Eric...I did a search on 427, LS1, LT1 and swaping. Not a whole lot of info to go on. I've been looking at this setup for a while now. Seems like the best way to go if you want reliable HP and the possibility of retaining decent economy/drivability. With that amount of HP/TQ I could get a highway gear and basically Idle on the highway no problems.

Why use a Richmond 6-speed, when a stock LS1 T56 will work just fine?
Why drop $795 on an ACPT CF DS, when its only worth 3-5HP? And, based on my personal experience, they break.
Is your goal of "500+HP" in terms of flywheel or rear wheel? You can easilly make 500flywheel with a 383 LT1, and it will be a fairly mild daily driver.
It is possible to build a 427 on a standard LS1 block or an LS6 block. ARE routinely "sleeves" these engines for 422ci or 436ci. Not cheap though.... the 422ci long block is $12,800 and the 436ci long block is $13,200. The resleeved block alone is only $2,400.
