I was just asking about it to decide wether to order a new purge sensor or not. I will now that I know. Thanks Fred. I had no clue what the point of it was.

You're right it isn't getting purged, it's evaporating into the atmosphere, I just can't smell it, or see it. I wasn't looking for a performance gain, selfishly it's really because I had problems with it and also because it isn't the most attractive thing I've ever looked at in an engine bay. Could I have fixed it, sure, but still it's a hundred bucks that I'd rather spend on something that I need. FWIW, although my car isn't track only, it's not driven very regularly, so I have no guilt in this area. I applaud you for your efforts though. We, (Florida), don't have an emissions check any more, so it's a little more tempting to ignore the environment. Of course if I really cared, I'd probably be driving a hybrid, eating only organic foods and listening to old Joan Baez records.
