How do you clean the MAF?

I found that my MAF sensor is a little mucked up--looks like my K&N filter fell off. I did a search on this, and found that you should use electrical contact cleaner. Should I just spray it, or can I get at it with a Q-tip? I am very nervous about damaging it.

Thanks,

Mark

Take it off and spray it with brake clean. If you want to try it on the car then spray it with carb cleaner while the engine is running. You may have to unplug it.
