How do you get Aeroquip/Earl's Fittings on a Braided SS hose?

I have a piece of braided SS hose that I need to put a fitting on one end of it, however im unsure how to do this. Its a 45 degree swivel made by Aeroquip. Its blue and yellow. One side has the AN fitting and the other has the hose connection.

The hose connection has a little screw off thing, and a little compression sleeve inside. It looks like the plastic part of my hose (inside the stainless) should go around the actual hole in the fitting and the compression sleeve should go inbetween the plastic hose and the braided SS outer portion.

Any ideas or hints?

That is correct. Make sure your ss line is cut perfectly or else it will be painful and a big pain to get on correctly.

It usually tells you on their website. I'm positive at least one of the manufacturers has instructions on their site.

cutting the hose witha grinder works pretty well.

just make sure its a clean cut, if any of the steel is jagged or anything its not gonna go.

putting those lines together is all in the cut.

Wrap electrical tape around the area where you want to cut and use a grinder/cut-off disc. The tape prevents the hose from unraveling.
