you got 1 here c306, mildly ported heads/intake, 4.10's and blah blah blah m6 btw. car runs awesome. i took it out march 20th or so and since then have put about 6000 kms (4000 miles??) on it. im in traffic close to an hour each day. gas mileage is about the same as before, driveability is fine as well. the only part that might "nag" you a bit is the cam surge at lower rpm when in traffic, but you learn how to work your way around it. to say it straight, the car f**king hauls i really have nothing bad to say about it at all i live in montreal, which is probably the same as philly in terms of congestion. hth

I have known a couple guys to do it, all had their cars tuned so it was o.k. Look at other big cams, X.e, GM847, all worth a look.

Just got mine installed on friday night and have put about 600 miles on it so far, mixed city and highway..

I have the 306 and mildly ported heads, I get the same gas mileage as before, and the only thing is a very small amount of surge at low RPM's....alot less now than before it was tuned

I would say go for it, I have no complaints.....Just make sure you get a really good tune not a mail order......

I love mine, the only time i get cam surge is if i put it in 6th goin 45 mph around (1300 rpm)

Great cam, some low end surge, my gas mileage only dropped about 2 mpg, works best with fully ported heads and headers (preferably LT's), biggest complaint (and it is rather minor) is that it develops much less vacuum so your braking efficiency drops significantly in traffic. The good part is that you will have really strong leg muscles after awhile. A vacuum reserve, while not mandatory, is nice to have especially in traffic. The money spent in one is well worth it IMO.

All depends on the tune. People bitching about bad surge have a crappy tune or something not quite right on their car, period.

Mine.....my tune is basically some crap I hacked together from a couple files I found on the net for setups sort of similar to mine (tried a couple Ed Wright files I found, and my god, it was worse than driving the car on stock programming, seriously).

On near stock programming, the car surged like mad and was almost undriveable under 2000 RPM. With programming, I only get a slight amount of surge. And I know it would be better with a better tune. Gas mileage, I get around 16-18 MPG on mostly highway driving if I don't get into the gas too often. With some new O2 sensors (I don't trust those POS Bosch sensors I'm running, but have no money for new ones) I'm sure that would help a bit, and probably would only help driveabliltiy.

My car is a fair weather daily driver, and seems to do just fine w/ the 306. In all honesty, I wish I had the money to go to a solid roller and even bigger heads.
