How many miles on your car before you had a head gasket problem ?
I had to replace my head gaskets on my Z at 131,000 miles and everything is fine with the car at this time and I rarely drive it so will probably will never have to do it again. The reason Iam asking this question is that my daily driver is my T/A with 109,000 miles and kinda getting paranoid thinking when is the head gaskets going to fail on my T/A.
Thanks for any replies.

~ 78K on mine, 25K of them with a blower running at 7 PSI. I've got a pic of the blown gasket, it broke the ring (gasket ring, not the piston ring) and pushed it into the water jacket. Anyways, do it yourself. Figure $35 for each gasket, $20 for the intake gasket, $100 for oil, filter, antifreeze, thread sealant, etc... $50 for some new head bolts, and $60 to have the heads shaved flat and checked for harness and bad valves.
You can realistically do it for about $300 if you do the work. You may even find your springs are weak causing you to lose power like I did. A nice valve job with upgraded springs wouldn't hurt either.

It cost me about $550.00 total, that includes gaskets, fluids, and having heads reworked ...... resurface, new valves, springs, and valve seals.
