How many SERIOUS buyers would there be for a plastic intake manifold?

Re: How many SERIOUS buyers would there be for a plastic intake manifold?
if i was gonna spend that much money, id rather just convert a single plane to EFI and use a 4-bbl.........more power, for slightly more money.
personally i think the FAST intake is a fairly crappy dollar-to-hp ratio

Like many others, I would not pay $750 for one. It's not like it would be a very complex manifold, you don't even have water passages in it!
If I could realistically expect 30 fwhp with an aftermarket composite manifold on a car with heads/cam and supporting mods then I'd be willing to pay $500 for it.

I agree it all depends upon what gains could be had. But I don't agree on the low prices many here are stating. Tell me what a heads/cam guy already in the 400 RWHP range can buy for $4-500 that gives 30 HP on top of that? Swap out the heads for a set of AFR's? Good luck for $500.
Yes, money could be better spent elsewhere for bolt-on guys. But many already have spent the money elswhere and are at the point each additional HP costs a lot more.

I would buy one and was just thinkin of this the other day. I would hope it would be plastic/composite material and in the design of the LS1 intake for better air flow and fuel mixture and more HP!

For the right gains and cost, I would grab one. Should be a slight weight savings also over the stock aluminum intake (for the "big time" cars out there that have been on diets ).

Also, I would be down for something at around $500 too. After all, this is also extra money that could be put into bigger heads and just call it a day. I can totally understand the costs, however, just simply answering with what I could see myself being able to afford.

It would be extremly cool to have a composite manifold. Make HP and Lose weight from the front end but i think it's hard to pay 750 for it.

I could see buying one on the condition that there would be proven horsepower gains. As it sits, most of the major head porting guys don't recommend intake porting for the stock bottom end guys, which I would wager is a good 60% of your market.
If some drastically redesigned miracle intake provided 20hp gains though, I would be all on it.
What I really want is someone to make LT1-compatible 18 degree heads... I'd sell a kidney to make 500 rwhp on 350 ci

I would be interested in one, definetely. But not for a few years at least, and not for 750. Also, if it could do something like the intake that was made by BRE for Kmook. Kinda off topic, any news on how that things goin? That sounded like a sick intake, but a lil pricey

I cant see it selling to well with LT1 owners, thats a ton of money for guys building cars on tight budgets looking for bang for the buck kinda mods.
