I think you got lucky on the two times previous. I have seen some that won't even resurface once. You might be able to get away without getting a new flywheel this time but I would play it safe and get a new one.

I REALLY wanted to get a new SPEC flywheel when I bought the clutch but my funds are running short at this time. Would it be ok to get a new one later on down the road, or would it be bad for the clutch? Thanks for your help.

By chevy standards, it is non-serviceable. BUT, if you need to use it, you can. Just make sure the machine shop tells you how much they have to machine it when its done. Then, get a flywheel shim of the same size, and you will have no problems at all. I didn't know how much mine had been turned, nor how many times it had been turned. When I put it in, it wouldn't fully disengage. Flywheel shim solved it completely. Shims are available in a number of sizes as well. Any reputable machine shop should have them in stock.
