I've seen a stock 4-bolt main LT1 block (stock straight configuration, not splayed, with upgraded bolts and billet caps) produce 1,125HP at the flywheel, in a blown 383 running 20+ # of boost. The almost 4,000# race weight 30th SS convertible ran 9.04 at 156MPH. When he decided that wan't enough HP he pulled the engine, tore it down and sold the block, in excellent condition, to another friend of ours.
At that point he opted for a Dart Iron Eagle SBC block for his 1,350HP build.
