How to prevent burned plug wires ?????

What is a good spark plug wire wrap or tape that prevents them from getting burned by headers ? And where do I get it at ? Thanks in advance

Re: How to prevent burned plug wires ?????

I found some great sleeves down at the local autoparts store.
I think Summit racing has them for likr $50 for a set of 8.
Just slide them over the wires and you are set.

There were some for sale over in the classifieds section the other day too.

Why is it not possible for you to ensure the wires dont touch the headers.

I have the taylor high temp sleeves. They match my wires too. No more burned wires!

Re: How to prevent burned plug wires ?????

With headers on my 88 I ran the wires down the back of the engine and under the headers. Couple inches clear all around. Might look and see if this will work on yours?

I have Taylor OVC kit... as long as the wires don't physically touch the primaries... they wont burn.
