How to properly break in a clutch?
I've been reading many different posts about clutches pros and cons, and always seem to see a reccurring line, "did you break in the clutch correctly?" Is it possible to break in a clutch, if so how?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You just want to do 500 miles of NORMAL driving, No high rpm's, let it heat cycle a couple times, no burnouts, nothing abusive. just baby it for 500 miles then its good to go bud.

all the break in should consist of IMO is pressing in the clutch pedal to make sure its works and if it works w/o making any strange noises then its good to go. the only reason i could see a guy needing to take it easy for 50-500 miles is to make sure its working properly.. theres no wear pattern thats supposed to develope. I aint never heard of breakin no clutch in so I didnt do it myself. If the flywheel is flat and the pressure plate is flat and the clutch disc in between the two is flat then what has to seat properly or be broken in? I would drive it just long enough to make sure its working then run the hell out of it.
